BI integration with Web Services/ADF components

In order to integrate the BI Reports with Web Services / ADF components we have to download Oracle Extensions and update in the JDeveloper.

Installing the Downloaded Extensions:

Step 1: Copy all the Downloaded extensions to a local folder.

Step 2: Go to Help and click on Check for Updates.

Step 3: The Update Screen appears and Click on Next.

Step 4: Click Install from Local File and Browse for the downloaded Extensions and Click on Next.

Integrating BI Reports in to JDeveloper:

Step 1: Create a New Application.

Click FileàNewàApplications.

Click on Generic Application.

Step 2: Give the Project Name and Click on Finish.

Step 3: Right Click on the Created Project and Click on Project Properties.

Click on Libraries and Classpath.

Make sure that all these Classpath Entries are available.

If the Libraries and Classpath are not available then Click on Add Library and select the specific extensions. Click OK.

Step 4: Click on Technology Scope in Project Properties and make sure that Business Intelligence View ADF Components are selected or not.

Step 5: In Application Resources Click on ConnectionsàNew connectionàBI Presentation Sources.

Give the Host and Credentials and Click on Test Connection.

Step 6: Create a new jsp Page and drag the reports which we want to show in the pages.

Step 7: After doing drag and drop of the specific reports right click on the Project and click on Make Project. Then Click on Run.

 We can get the URL after clicking on Run for the specific Project.


We can get the report on Target URL which is published while running the specified Project.

Step 1: Download the software from the

Step 3: Click on Create a new Middleware Home and give the path where to install.

Step 4: Click on Custom Installation and Click Next.

Step 5: Check the Installation Directories Path.

Step 6: Check the Node Manager Listen Port and Click on Next.

Step 7: Select the “All Users” Start Menu folder and Click on Next.

Step 8: Now the Installation of JDeveloper starts.
